Cross enjoys team aspect of new bowling squad

Mykaela Cross is a junior on the varsity bowling team. She enjoys bowling and thinks that it’s a fun way to pass time. She likes being on the bowling team because she likes being part of a fun group.

Cross joined the bowling team because she knew that the team needed more people to actually become a bowling team.

“Originally I was just a slot filler, and it turns out that I came out on varsity,” Cross said.

In general she likes bowling because she likes to challenge herself. She also likes to challenge herself so that she can get better.

“I like the way it makes me challenge myself to get better, while still having fun,” Cross said.

Cross’ best score for bowling in her life and bowling on the team has been 137. The bowling team has only had four meets this year and are still working toward their goal, to win a game.

Cross believes that you can never reach a limit of enough practice. The bowling team practices Mondays through Thursdays. She thinks that even outside of practices the team should still practice on their own time too.

She says that she’ll try out next year to be on the bowling team again. She hopes she’ll make it again and should have a good chance since she is already on varsity. She loves the team and is always having fun.

“Were still a growing team, but were having fun getting better,” Cross said.

With the team having the confidence to get better, they should win a meet soon.
